The interchange at I-25 and Arapahoe Road has been determined to be inadequate to meet future traffic needs. In fact, if you drive through this intrechange, you will know that it currently struggles to move traffic in an efficient manner. With that in mind, the planning to rebuild the interchange is underway. Becuase of the proximity to neighborhoods such as Walnut Hills and Hunters Hill, this project is a major concern to many residents of District 3. In addition to the rebuild of the interchange, it is possible that an underpass will be built just south of Arapahoe Road that will connect Yosemite on the west to Costilla on the east of I-25.
Below are links to important information, websites, and news articles related to this project. I invite you to read over this material and contact me with any input you may have. In addition, I will be posting information about any public meetings that I know of so that you have an opportunity to officially participate in the process.
